MEXCLA is the official “Network of Talented Mexicans Abroad” (RTM for its initials in Spanish) of Los Angeles, CA. The RTM was organized in 2005 as a project sponsored by Mexico’s Foreign Relations Ministry (SRE), the National Board of Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Mexico-US for Science Foundation. MEXCLA recognizes that there is a critical need to develop scientific, technological, cultural, and entrepreneurial creativity and talent to face 21st century challenges of global proportions. MEXCLA seeks to promote active partnerships among a mezcla of many disciplines of scientists, engineers, educators, writers, artists, and entrepreneurs in Mexico and the United States with the object of developing a binational community to energize and implement innovative projects that contribute to the leadership role of Mexico and the United States. MEXCLA has the following objectives: 1. Create synergies among/ and elevate the Los Angeles and Global network 2. Promote Innovation and Economic Development in Los Angeles and Mexico (through collaboration in strategic projects in business, education, research and technology) 3. Promote Los Angeles' and Mexico’s Image 4. Inspire new generations of talent MEXCLA is comprised of successful professionals with cultural ties to both the United States and Mexico who celebrate the strengths and values of both cultures with projects on both sides of the border to contribute to the world at large. MEXCLA seeks to create pathways to success for both the current generation of innovators and the next generation of youth as they enter the world stage.
